About Us
Pome began for me when I became frustrated with the health and fitness tools on the market. I had struggled and failed to balance diagnosing and managing chronic health issues with my desire to pursue the outdoors. For years, my numerous doctor visits were occasionally helpful but often disappointing, expensive, and time-consuming. I fell back to relying on a patchwork of apps, devices, spreadsheets, and journals. I talked to others and found many people in the same boat.
I have a vision of a future where your health data is comprehensive, goes with you where you go, and helps you understand how to make better choices. A future where people are easily screened for terminal illnesses without haggling for referrals and paying out of pocket. A future where non-communicable disease can be prevented altogether instead of managed after the fact. A future where your doctor has modern tools at their disposal, including expertise from the most powerful AI tools available.
This future is already starting to be built around us. The accelerating wearable market continues to advance. We are seeing some of the first clinical grade AI systems. Extensive and individualized blood work is becoming widespread. People are demanding a data-driven and preventative approach to their health previously reserved for the wealthy. The future is coming, and it should be more evenly distributed.
